Exhibition Designer and Project Manager
I collaborate with clients to develop their exhibit ideas into exciting, buildable plans. As the exhibit designer, I create gallery layouts, construction docs, models, and comprehensive design packages, including graphics. As the project manager, I help clients plan, test, and coordinate the installation of their exhibits.

National Museum of the American Sailor
Great Lakes Naval Station, IL
Designed interpretive exhibitions on the history and heritage of the U.S. Navy and its sailors. Developed new exhibitions and refurbished existing displays in the museum and on the naval base.
The Art Institute of Chicago
Managed outside designers and fabricators, monitoring for schedule and quality. Designed casework, walls, and architectural elements using CAD; selected materials and finishes; and created shop drawings. Led the discussion with conservation and protection services on gallery circulation and displays to ensure safe environment for both art and visitors. Applied ADA guidelines and best practices in exhibit design and lighting. Produced annotated construction packages, including all drawings, details, and specifications suitable for bidding, building, and installation of exhibits. Introduced new technology to enhance visitor’s appreciation of subject.
Worked closely with team of designers, developers, and builders on the design of Ancient Americas.
Museum Installation Manager
Oriental Institute Museum, University of Chicago
Project-managed reinstallation of museum exhibitions including ordering and fabricating new high-quality cases. Worked closely with curators and educators to develop their exhibit ideas into working plans. Supervised full-time preparators and temporary staff, mount-making facility, and galleries. Designed objects layouts for complex topics. Produced exhibit and print graphics.
